The Level 3 Foundation Certificate is made up of four core units, each assessed through a written assignment. There are no examinations.

You will also analyze the impact of individual behavior on organizational culture and its capacity for change management during this session.

This lesson will teach you how decision-making, both simple and complex, is a necessary element of the work of people professionals. It focuses on how obtaining effective working practices and sound decisions to produce value requires the use of a wide range of analytics and evidence.

You will learn about the essential behaviors for people professionals in this subject, with an emphasis on the value of ethical behavior in the pursuit of value creation. ◆ What you gain: Apply practical HR skills across the full employee lifecycle

You will study how to use the principles of people practice, including the employee lifecycle, policies, regulations, and law, in the qualification’s last module. A successful career in people practice requires an understanding of a variety of specialized topics, which you will also study. These topics include learning and development, talent management, reward systems, and recruitment.

Entry Requirements

There are no definitive requirements to enroll in the CIPD Level 3 Foundation course. You can enroll without them.

If you speak English as a second language, we suggest that you have attained one of the following proficiency levels, or a comparable one:

IELTS: at least 5.5 in each category, with an overall score of 5.5
TOEFL: minimum of 17 in each category, with a total score of 71.
Cambridge: at least C or above

This is not required, though, and we will be pleased to consider your case individually.

Assessment

At the completion of each session, you will be required to complete a written assignment of up to 4,000 words. This will provide you the opportunity to showcase the knowledge and abilities you have learned during the courses.

After that, your assignments will be turned in online and graded by our assessors under CIPD’s moderation.

Your new CIPD certificate will be granted to you after you pass all of your assignments. This will also allow you to advance to the next level and start your Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organizational Learning & Development or Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.

Sessions run on weekday evenings and weekend slots for flexibility around your working week. You can choose fully online or in-person delivery in Abu Dhabi. Your tutor will guide you through a structured study plan from day one.

03 How is the Level 3 assessed?

The Level 3 is assessed entirely through written assignments one per unit. There are no formal examinations. Assessments are criterion-referenced, meaning you either achieve a Pass or require a resubmission. Your tutor provides detailed feedback on every draft.

04 What CIPD membership will I earn on completion?

On successfully completing the Level 3, you will be awarded Foundation Membership of the CIPD and can use the designation Foundation CIPD after your name.

05 Can my employer pay for the qualification?

Yes, many employers fund CIPD qualifications as part of their learning and development investment. We can provide materials to help you build a business case to your employer.

06 What can I progress to after the Level 3?

The Level 3 is the natural gateway to the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in either People Management or Organisational Learning and Development which leads to Associate Membership of the CIPD (Assoc CIPD).
