This program is designed to give ATD Certification Institute CPTD candidates a comprehensive, facilitator-led training experience spanning 11 weeks of study and 21 hours toward initial CTPD eligibility. During this robust, in-depth, detailed review of the areas covered in the CPTD certification exam, learners will be set up for success to pass the CPTD certification exam.
Participants will interact, engage, and learn through lectures, scenarios, case studies, and targeted use of the CPTD practice test. They will gain access to everything needed to fully prepare for the CPTD exam and be guided through virtual and in-person classroom experiences by a dedicated ATD expert facilitator who has been credentialed by ATD CI.
Skills Plus provides expert preparation support for the CPTD® exam, drawing on real GCC organisational experience to help senior professionals connect the framework to daily challenges.

This robust program uses a blended learning approach with on-demand resources; self-study modules; five-day facilitator-led training; and live online, facilitator-led check-ins to increase your confidence in preparing for and passing the CPTD exam.
To be eligible for the CPTD program, candidates must meet all criteria for ONE of the pathways below:
Work Experience- 5 years of experience in talent development + Professional Development- 60 hours of qualified activities covering talent development topics within the last 5 years (ATD’s preparation courses for the CPTD can be reported for a total of 20 hours of professional development eligibility).
Work Experience- 5 years of experience in talent development + ATD Masters Designation completed within the past 5 years
Work Experience- 4 years of experience in talent development + Current APTD Credential.

The CPTD focuses on a subset of capabilities from the Talent Development Capability Model and covers all three domains:
At least 5 years of relevant TD experience, with a minimum of 2,000 hours worked in the field.
The APTD® validates foundational knowledge for early-career professionals. The CPTD® demonstrates advanced mastery for senior practitioners.
150 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 3.5 hours.
