01What we are for

Capability is the part of transformation that cannot be bought in.

An operating model can be designed by outsiders. A policy can be written by outsiders. The ability of a workforce to run the new model on Monday morning cannot be, it has to be built inside the organisation, by people who will still be there next year.

That is what skills+ exists to do. We hold approvals from three chartered institutes and three certifying bodies, we deliver in Arabic and English, and we are structured so that the capability we build stays after the invoice is settled.

Because we sit inside a transformation group, capability building rarely arrives alone. When impact+ redesigns a human capital function or a procurement operating model, we qualify the people who will run it. That sequencing is the whole reason for the group structure.

The name is not wrong. It is under-read.

Taaeen is usually translated as appointment, placing a person in a post. That is the fourth of its meanings, and the shallowest. The Arabic root carries four.

For an academy the third meaning is the operative one. Before anything is taught, the work has to be determined precisely, what capability is actually missing, at what level, in which roles. Everything after that is delivery.
